Privacy Policy

ViewForMe is a Sydney rental inspection service operated by Truuther Pty Ltd(ACN 677 105 396), an Australian company. In this policy, “we” / “our” refers to Truuther Pty Ltd, and “you” refers to anyone who uses our website or books an inspection.

We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

When you book an inspection, we collect:

• Your name, email, phone number, and preferred messenger (WeChat / WhatsApp)
• The property listing URL you ask us to inspect
• Your concerns, questions, and any context you share with us via chat or our contact form
• Photos, videos, and notes captured by our contractor during the inspection

We do not collect: payment card details (you pay us via direct WeChat / bank transfer, not through this website), tax file numbers, government IDs, or sensitive health information.

We use your information to:

• Deliver the inspection service you booked
• Send you the inspection report (via private URL or email)
• Share your contact details with the listing agent only when required for property access
• Share the bare minimum (property URL, your concerns, inspection time) with our contractor inspector
• Reply to your questions and provide post-inspection support

We may also use anonymised photos and findings from your inspection to create public case studies on this website — but only after stripping all personally identifiable information (see below).

Before any case study from your inspection appears publicly, we remove:

• Full addresses and unit numbers (we only mention the suburb)
• Your name and your family’s names
• Faces (we crop or blur any person in photos)
• Exact dates (we use general timeframes like “autumn 2026”)
• Specific bus routes or distances that could identify the property
• Compass-app screenshots showing identifying location data

You can opt out of public case study use at any time by emailing us (see “Contact” below). Private reports we deliver to you are never used as case studies.

• Listing agent: only your name + phone number, only when needed to confirm an inspection appointment or access a property. Never given to landlords directly.
• Our contractor inspector: property URL, inspection time, and your concerns. Not your contact details unless you ask us to introduce you.
• Email and chat providers: if you contact us via email or WeChat / WhatsApp, those providers process the messages on our behalf (Resend for email, Tencent for WeChat, Meta for WhatsApp).
• Hosting provider: our website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may log basic request metadata (IP address, browser type) for security and performance.

We do not: sell your data, share it with marketing companies, or use it for advertising tracking. We do not run third-party analytics or tracking cookies.

We retain your contact details and inspection materials (photos, notes, reports) for 12 months after your last interaction with us. After that, we delete or anonymise everything except what is required by law (tax records, for example, must be kept for 5 years).

You can request earlier deletion at any time — see “Your rights” below.

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• Ask what data we hold about you (free of charge)
• Correct any inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for marketing use of your case study
• Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you believe we’ve mishandled your information

We use HTTPS everywhere, store inspection media in secure cloud storage, and limit access to the operator and contracted inspector only. Reports are delivered via unguessable URLs, never publicly indexed.

That said, no online service is 100% secure. If you discover a security issue, please email us immediately.

We use only essential cookies needed to keep the site working (e.g., remembering your language preference). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the website for 30 days.
